Boost Your Body Image

Eating Disorders Victoria has created an Infographic that includes helpful tips and information on how to boost a child’s self-esteem in relation to their body image.

A child’s psychological perceptions of their bodies are not always accurate, and this can affect what they see. For example, some kids may believe their body is larger or fatter than it actually is, or become fixated on a particular body part and start to see it as being very unattractive. When children feel dissatisfied about their body, this can affect their behaviour such as not wanting to exercise in front of their peers.
